If a ten year old asks you why a US Dollar costs 63.2 INR, how should you explain it?

Something in line with the following conversation should help in explaining the concept to him. :)

Y: You, C: Child

Ask the 10 year old: "If you had only 10 rupee notes, and wanted to buy a chocolate of Rs. 20 what would you do?"
Child will say - "Give the shopkeeper 2 notes"

Y: "Let's go to another shop. What would you do if a better chocolate costs Rs. 50 there?"
C: "I will give shopkeeper 5 notes"

Y: "Good, There's another shop called XYZ which sells the best chocolate at Rs. 500 and accepts nothing but Rs. 100 notes. It is indeed an awesome chocolate that you will really like. What would you do then?"
C: "Give him 50 notes"

Y: "Remember the shopkeeper accepts only Rs. 100 notes?'"
C: "But I will give him the same amount of money!!"

Y: "But he uses a different system, he runs his shop only on 100 Rupee notes. But you have only 10 rupee notes. Are they of any value if you want to do business with the shop?"
C: "No. I might have to take 5*100 rupee notes from someone and give him 50 notes in return"

Y: "Good!! Let us say a man is standing outside the shop offering 100 rupee notes in exchange for 10 rupee notes..then?"
C: "Wow!! I will give 50 notes to him, and take 5*100-rupee notes"

Y: What if the person says 'Everybody seems to like the chocolate here. Everybody wants 100 rupee notes. I want 60 notes for 5*100 notes'.
Now C starts thinking.

Y: You really want the chocolate. Meanwhile another person comes and tries to buy his 100 rupee notes. If you do not buy his note quickly - he might ask for even more notes because, many people want to buy his notes

Y: "Did the value of the chocolate change?"
C: "No"

Y: "Did you have less money?"
C: "No"

Y: "Then what was the problem?"
C: "The shopkeeper wants only 100 Rupee notes!!! :( "

Y: "But finally did you end up paying more than 500 rupees for a 500 rupee chocolate?"
C: "yes!!! :("

Y: "Why? The chocolate price never changed!"
C: "The chocolate price remained the same. But the price of the 100 rupee note was more!!! :( "

Y: "That is what happens. The shop is USA. Lets call the 100 rupee note as the Dollar. Other shops are India. They accept your 10 rupee note. The 'value' lies in the thing. Money is just a medium of exchange. So its value comes from its 'level of acceptance' by people. The chocolate is the same value, but is available only in USA. If you want to do business with him, you need to give him whatever note he wants. He accepts only Dollars. Your 10 rupee note has no value - although you have as many as you want. So you have to go to somebody who has dollars. When you buy the dollar, the price depends  on how high the demand for the dollar is. It has nothing to do with the actual value of the chocolate you are buying. What happens if more and more people want the dollar?"

C: "I will have to pay more and more rupees for the same dollar" (Exchange rate)

You end with: "So when we say $1 is equal to INR 60, it means that everybody wants to buy dollars. Actually, if you want to do business with any FOREIGN country, the rule is that you should use dollars. So the price has become very high. You have to pay 60 rupees to just buy 1 dollar."

C: "OK, but why should everybody use the dollar? What if somebody is OK to take my 10 rupee note?"
Y: "Then ugly things happen. You will understand only when you grow up"

• LTE (4G*) : Currently the fastest type of internet connection and is faster than many home broadband connections. The download speed being around 100Mbps. No way you are gonna get this symbol next to your signal bars on your phone. Such connection is yet to be launched and is worked on.
• H+ (HSDPA+) : High Speed Downlink Packet Access. It's currently the fastest network connection one can enjoy with their respective service providers. Comparable to many home broadband connections. It's FASTER than 3G. The download speed being around 21Mbps.
• H (HSDPA): Lower version of H+. With the download speed compromised at 7.2Mbps. But again, this too is FASTER than 3G.
• 3G: Initially introduced for Video calling. Only after the launching of this Generation, the internet speed became decent. Applications like email, video calls, live streaming became possible efficiently only after this. The download speed being 2Mbps.
• E (Edge): This is most common symbol popping up on our signal bars whenever we switch on our Mobile Data. But again, contrary of what people know, it's FASTER than 2G. It was brought into picture, as a cheap carrier to upgrade from 2G to 3G networks, without expanding the bandwidth and the frequency range. The download speed being 0.4Mbps.
• G (General Packet Radio Service) : 
  This was the oldest and first "always-on" data service.While older networks exist, you aren't likely to come across them these days. It's a part of History now.The download speed being 0.1Mbps.

Buddha was walking into the city market one day and near the city entrance an old bitter man was sitting on a box glaring at Buddha, who carried a bright smile on his face. I know by speaking to you now that you are not deaf, why do you keep on smiling while I do nothing but scream the worst things I can think of to your face?”

Buddha, with the same smile still on his face looks at the old man and asks “If I were to bring you a gift tomorrow morning all wrapped up in a beautiful box would you accept it?” to which the old man replies “Absolutely not, I would take nothing from the likes of you!”. “Ah ha” the Buddha replies “Well if I were to offer you this gift and you were to refuse then who would this gift belong to?”. “It would still belong to you of course” answers the old man. “And so the same goes with your anger, when I choose not to accept your gift of anger , does it not then remain your own?” Be Cool and Stay Calm

Net Neutrality

The net neutrality debate is not only waging in India but across the world. After all what is net neutrality and why is there so much controversy surrounding the matter? In simplest terms, net neutrality can be defined as the principle that all internet traffic must be treated equally. The supporters of net neutrality are of view that internet service providers should not have any right to restrict certain forms of internet traffic on their respective networks. Do you agree? Are you in support of net neutrality?

Advantages

• The big telecom companies can provide the ways but don’t have any right to direct how the people should walk on them. They cannot differentiate between the different groups.

• Net neutrality has remained a core democratizing tenet of the internet since the time it came into existence.

• Net neutrality protects innovation and if big companies like Google and Netflix could pay to get exceptional treatment, more bandwidth, faster speeds, the new start-up firms would be at a disadvantage.

• It will also negatively affect freedom of speech. In absence of net neutrality, the big companies could give priority to TV networks from videos it owns and slow down the signals from its peers.

• Net neutrality supports competitive marketplace and provides chance to every firm, from big companies to small start-ups to take part in it.

• If net was not neutral, Google, Facebook or Zomato would not have been able to reach where they are today. Curbing netizens right to a neutral net will be a big blow for the budding entrepreneurs.

Disadvantages

• Times have changed. Today YouTube and Netflix clog the pipes with huge amounts of data. The users download insane amount of software, music and movies illegally. The changes will put a restriction.

• The various companies like Google have created services that allow people to make calls for free on networks that telecom companies have spent billions to build. Net neutrality is injustice to these companies.

• Net neutrality do not protects innovation instead stifles innovation. If the telecom companies can charge higher fees to the prime bandwidth hogs, they can also afford to develop advanced fiber networks that support all forms of new Internet services.

• Some level of prioritization or restriction is essential to support the best interest of consumers as a whole.

• Bandwidth is definitely a limited commodity and regulation will help restrict illegal use of the platform.

The Internet has grown at an exceptional pace since its inception in the early 1990's, and this extraordinary growth is largely due to the freedoms and protections that net neutrality offers. Groundbreaking ideas and novel products like YouTube, Google, eBay and torrents have reached to where they are because of net neutrality. Whatsapp Boon or a bane?

A Saudi man divorced his wife after she ignored his whatsapp messages. The husband said that his wife used to spend all her time on whatsapp messaging platform. Due to the addiction, she even ignored her children. Whatsapp is not a new thing in the market. Even the people who are not educated are well aware of the messaging platform. The messaging app that started as a boon can turn into a bane, if not used carefully. It is killing mind of people. Do you agree? Yes • The youngsters are getting addicted to the messaging platform like other addictive substances. It is more of an addiction rather than convenience. • People are not using the messaging platform for connecting with friends or relatives instead they just want to check out the their presence on messaging platform. • A messaging platform connects people, but whatsapp is creating bridges between people. The app, in many cases, is creating unnecessary doubts in relationships. • The start as well as end of the day happens with whatsapp. And, if people don’t find any messages they start feeling low. • People are so occupied with the use of whatsapp that they are unable to differentiate between real and factual relationships. We can easily notice that while you are talking all the time to your friends on Whatsapp, you hardly have an interaction with your immediate family. This also points out the fact that while people have a lot of friends on Whatsapp network, there's hardly any friend available whom they can talk out their heart face to face. No • Whatsapp has become the largest messaging app, and it is just because it has allowed people to come closer to each other. • There are some people who are not involved in any work, and such people are only addicted to whatsapp, not everyone. • Whatsapp has allowed the school friends and distant relatives to come and talk at one place. It doesn’t kill mind but helps the people to cherish the old good memories and relationships. • In a world, where people don’t have time to meet friends, whatsapp has allowed people to share their problems with friends on messaging platform regardless of time and location. • Whatsapp is now even used by many firms and organizations for sharing of important information among employees. • If used properly, Whatsapp can help generate new business opportunities and close the existing deals faster. Will Swachh Bharat Campaign Succeed?

PM Narendra Modi urged local masses to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi`s dream of Clean India. He launched the Swachh Bharat Campaign at Rajpath in New Delhi. He called it as a paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri, on their birth anniversary. He urged people that it is the social responsibility of Indian citizens to accomplish Gandhiji`s vision of Clean India by year 2019. He even said that the vision can only come true only when 125 crore people of India work for it. Let us share our views on the matter. Will Swachh Bharat Campaign Succeed?

• It is not wise to start thinking of the results first as it is said that perform actions without considering the results.

• PM Narendra Modi came on the streets to start the mission, and this step cannot be ignored by his many followers.

• PM initiated the chain by inviting nine public figures for campaign including Sachin Tendulkar, Shashi Tharoor, Mridula Sinha, Baba Ramdev, Anil Ambani, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kamal Hasan, and the entire team of Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashma.

• Gujarat, which was a destroyed state, after a series was natural disaster, was rebuilt by Narendra Modi, and he was successful in making it a clean and prosperous state.
